TECS Plate Heat Exchangers
TECS Engineering, one of the Karcıoğlu Group companies, designs and manufactures gasketed plate heat exchangers for power plants, data centers, district heating, HVAC and industrial cooling. Frames, plate packs and gaskets are assembled and pressure tested in our own factory, and every unit leaves with its data sheet, drawing and test records.
Each enquiry is treated as a new product: the fluids, the duty, the pressure drop limits and the site are reviewed by our engineers, and our own thermal software selects the plates, the pack and the frame that give the best technical and commercial result. Spare plates, gaskets and extensions for units in service come from the same team.
The same factory builds LT/HT radiators, dry coolers and gas turbine inlet coils for generator sets, cogeneration systems and power plants, so the plate heat exchanger and the rest of the cooling system are engineered together.
TECS units are built with Eurovent-certified coils.

The finned-tube coil is the heart of every TECS unit and it is made in our own factory. PLC-controlled fin lines stamp the aluminium fins from coil stock, hairpin benders form the copper tubes, and automatic tube expanders fix the tubes into the fins to give the metal-to-metal contact the thermal design relies on. Headers and tube ends are machined on CNC equipment, so every coil of a series is the same coil.
Casings, fan plates, support legs and frames are cut and formed on turret punch presses, brake presses and a shear press, and pipework is bent on CNC pipe benders. Fans, guards, expansion tanks, junction boxes and connections are assembled on the finished unit, and every circuit is pressure tested before the fans are fitted.
Overhead cranes and the assembly area allow units up to 13 m long to be built, tested and packed as one piece for road or sea transport.
Every circuit is pressure tested, fans and electrical equipment are function tested, and the records are delivered with the unit. Performance and acoustic verification are carried out where the project specifies them.
